CTY Whales Trip 1| session 2 | Day 4 : Knots, Plankton , Beaches and Sweeeet victory

Day 4 already !!!. The trip has been amazing so far. The crew decided to show us today one of the most important knots in sailing, called the eye splice. We used a Marlins spike to loosen up all the rope and start building the eye splice. The sailors use this knot for almost everything , especially for tightening up the sails and life lines. We divided in watches, and while a group was learning about knots the other group where hunting plankton. We learned that the cool thing about planktons is that they don't swim. In the water, they actually "go with the flow".  We got to see them through the amazing eye of a ProScope. And they are so funny !! They look like dancing mini organisms floating in the water. After this awesome morning we ate homemade hamburgers and we headed to the beach. It was such a nice day to go to the beach. We discovered a lot of spider crabs and we took a dip and enjoyed a good bath. Finally , what better beach day than a well victory prize for the dishing champ Eulrika. We ate New England ice cream. After a nice salty bath what better way to compensate it with creamy sugary goodness. We said farewell to the day with a beautiful moon and stars right above us. We don't what this trip to end.
