And they're off!!

The Lady Maryland, her crew of 10, nine students and one fearless RA began their voyage north today.  There were lots of smiles as the students began to board the boat for their nine day adventure.  They are sure to have a ton of fun and learn lots.  The crew wasted no time to start the teaching as the students had to help the crew handle dock lines and fenders during their departure.
Rosalyn explains to a student how to "Take 1".

Erin & Cassie oversee students passing luggage below.

Ben shows students how to tend fenders.

Nick explains to students how to "take" lines 3 & 4

Taking 4

That line is the only thing connecting Lady Maryland to land right now.  Hold tight!!!

Taking 2 which means it's time to go!

Welcome to Summer 2014!!!

The LADY MARYLAND crew is working hard making sure the boat and program are all ready for a summer of sailing and learning. The week hasn't been all hard work, the crew did go to an Orioles game last night, too bad the White Sox won.

We're Looking forward to sharing lots of fun stories with you this summer!!!!

Preparing to leave home port for nearly 8 weeks takes lots of planning and preparation, including, filling out time sheets for the whole time they'll be away.

Of course there were some silly Team Building games included in our staff training sessions too!!!
