Today we got to learn more about of the jobs on the boat and got closer with the crew classmates. We started our watches which entails bow watch, aft watch, boat checks, charting our course, plotting our position, and even a bit of steering. Today’s journey took us up off the New Jersey in the Atlantic Ocean. While rocking and swaying with the waves, we learned how to calculate wind speed and direction, and about the different types of estuaries and why they are important. The food was consistently wonderful. We are excited and ready for Day 3!
